Pedagogy

Study and work center

'The essential reform of our plan from this point of view can be defined as follows:
During the difficult period of adolescence, it is useful to leave the usual environment of the family and go to a calm environment in the area, close to nature.
There, an outdoor life, with individual follow-up, and a non-toxic diet, must be the first considerations in the organization of a 'study and work center'.

Pedagogical farm

'The work on earth is an introduction to both nature and civilizations and gives unlimited scope for scientific and historical studies. If the product can be used commercially, it introduces the fundamental mechanism of society, that of production and exchange on which economic life is based. That is to say, there is an opportunity to learn both academically and through real experience, what are the elements of social life. We have called adolescents "Erdkinder" because they understand civilization by its origin in agriculture.
These are the "Children of the Earth"

Academic knowledge

'The study should not be limited by existing programs for children of this age;
I must say right away that the goal should be to expand education rather than restrict it.
My reform is that of the distribution of culture and teaching methods. '
D. Montessori 'From childhood to adolescence'
The curriculum should be theoretical knowledge and practical experience
which will make the individual a part of the civilization of the time.
This includes the study of the earth and living things, i.e. geology, geography, including prehistoric times, biology, cosmology, botany, zoology, physiology, astronomy , comparative anatomy, ...;
It also includes the study of human progress and the construction of civilization in relation to mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, engineering and genetics integrated into the history of science and technology (computer science) ).
The last part is the study of human history.

Creative expression: Art, music and crafts

We give teens the opportunity to try a wide variety of activities
in the arts, music and crafts. The objective is that they can discover new skills and perhaps future vocations, by expressing the strong emotions that emerge at their age.

Works - Maintenance - Kitchen

The adolescents are in charge of maintenance and works in the building.
There are many experiences: carpentry, plastering, painting, cooking, horticulture, ....
Practical work is essential to balance intellectual and manual activities.

International network

A network of Montessori colleges on a European and international scale is being set up to connect new projects.
This strengthens the sharing of information and teaching materials and especially the possibility of adolescent exchange (erasmus type).
We receive foreign students during the year to culturally enrich our establishment.
