Preparation for the middle school certificate and the baccalaureate
We support adolescents in their school project so that they can fulfill their vocation.

Project
We want to provide adolescents with a place to live, where they will be able to continue their education and develop their autonomy through group work which values them as individuals and citizens of the world.
Self-managed residence
The adolescents are responsible for the maintenance of the building, certain domestic arrangements, the organization of comfort and order. They manage the design of menus, cooking for the community and taking charge of the purchase of food and goods.
Group life
Community life in the middle school is essential for the training of adolescents. It makes it possible to strengthen their autonomy and enhance their actions through everyday actions for others.
Autonomy
Investment in group responsibilities is stimulating for children. They train them to become actors of their own lives. This promote autonomy.
Group work
This environment makes it possible to establish strong ties in the community forging a culture of solidarity and mutual aid. It is a citizen solidarity project.
Valuation
Teenagers need to find useful actions for the group. Through these gestures, their confidence is reinforced towards others and themselves.
Sonia and Laurent founded the Montessori school "Les Esprits Libres" in 2012. For 8 years, they managed a primary school in Grasse. Since January 2019, they have administered the college and are fully committed to its development. A team of educators is present to facilitate academic and practical activities for daily life.
Pedagogy
We want to provide adolescents with a variety of practical, social, cultural and intellectual activities, which allow them to choose their future vocation, having had the maximum of choices and experiences.
The work at the middle school is directed towards academic studies which have a concrete link with a real activity. It gives a stronger meaning to the knowledge of adolescents and strengthens their motivations. It is a way of getting around the stereotype of studying in a closed environment, where adolescents do not see why they are learning things that are outside of their real world.
